3. William Samuel Lyon, born 19 August 1856 in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, died 5 March 1942. He married Flora Amelia Jones in 1878. Flora was born in 1853, but died in 1879, aged 26. This is the same year in which the couple's baby, Elsie Victoria, was born and died, so this may imply that both mother and child died during childbirth. They had just one child:
