1. Luke Phillips, a labourer in Paper Mill, was baptised in Milton, Kent, England,
on 23 August 1789, and buried on 28 September 1876. He married Sarah Milway (born
in Milton in 1789 and buried 8 October 1875) in Milton on 25 May 1811. They had
ten children, who were:
- Sarah, baptised in Milton, Kent, on 27 October 1811
- Frances, baptised in Milton, Kent, on 24 January 1813
- William A., a carpenter, who was born 13 April 1814 Milton, Kent, and baptised
on 14 May 1815, who is the great great grandfather of
Gloria Rabideau of Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. He married Frances Thyurst/Thyhurst,
daughter of Alexander and Ann Thyurst/Thyhurst, in Bredhurst, Kent, England, on
7 August 1836, and died in Strathroy, Ontario, Canada, on 25 June 1885. Frances
was born in Kent on 17 October 1813, and died Sarnia, Ontario, Canada, on 29 May
1897. Both are buried in Strathroy Municipal Cemetery. They had ten children,
eight of which were born in Kent, before the family sailed to New York around
1850, where a ninth child was born, then on to Strathroy, Canada, in 1853, where
the tenth child was born:
- William B. Phillips, born 23 March 1837 in Milton, Kent, baptised 16 April
1837 in Milton, and died 29 June 1896
- Luke Phillips, born 16 May 1839 in Milton, Kent, baptised 16 June in Milton,
Kent, and died in Eldora, Iowa, USA, in December 1914
- Eliza Phillips, born 3 August 1840
- John Phillips, born January 1843 in Milton, Kent, baptised 11 February 1844
in Milton, died May 1844 and buried 26 May 1844 in Milton, Kent
- James Phillips, born 1845 in Milton, Kent
- Thomas Phillips, born April 29 1846 Milton, Kent; died July 1910 in Memphis,
Michigan, USA
- David Phillips, born 12 November 1848 in Maidstone, Kent
- Elijah Phillips, born 6 August 1853 in New York City, New York, USA
- Henry George Phillips, born in Caredoc (old name for Strathroy), Ontario,
Canada, on 6 July 1855, who became an architect and married Mary Jane (Jennie)
Abbott; he died in Sarnia, Ontario, in 26 January 1898 and was buried 28 January
in Lakeview Cemetery, Sarnia, Ont.

2. Louisa Phillips was baptised in Milton, near
Sydenham, Kent, England, on 9 August 1829 and died in Melbourne, Australia, on 3
December 1912. She married Daniel Lyon in Maidstone,
Kent, England, on 19 October 1851. Daniel was born Clapham, London, in 1827, and
died in Geelong, Vic., Australia, on 26 July 1879. They had seven children:

- William Samuel (1856-ca.1940)
