The 1901 census gives the following details on the family: Albert, a Hammerman, aged 35, born London Plumstead; Jemima, aged 30, born London Woolwich; Albert, aged 9, born London Woolwich; Sidney, aged 6, born London Plumstead; Victor, aged 4, born London Plumstead; Percy, aged 1, born London Plumstead. The family was residing in London Woolwich.

Albert Edward Brew, born 4 October 1865 in Lewisham, Kent, died 5 January 1952 at 21 Sandy Hill Road, Woolwich, Kent, aged 86. He married Jemima Major (born 1870 in Woolwich, Kent, England, died 20 November 1917 in Woolwich, Kent, aged 47), on 3 August 1890 in Parish Church, Plumstead, Kent. Her parents were William and Annie Major. At their marriage in 1890, Albert and Jemima were residing at  75 Frederick Place, Plumstead, Kent. Their children were:

  1. Albert William Brew, born 9 September 1891 in Woolwich, Kent, died 29 March 1952, aged 60; appears not to have married nor had any children; a labourer at Woolwich Arsenal, he served as a Private for 3 years in World War I; his military record labels him as having been "mentally backward"
  2. Sidney John Brew born 1894 in Woolwich, Kent, died 16 April 1953 in Welling, Kent, aged 59, residence in 1920 according to son, Norman Sidney's birth certificate, was 25 Parker Street, Silvertown, West Ham; a carpenter, he served as a Sapper in the Royal Engineers in World War I. He married Elsie Wilson in West Ham on 30 May 1918. Elsie died 16 February 1975 in Welling, Kent; her residence in 1975, according to own will was 64 Sommerhill Road, Welling, Kent. Their children were:
  1. Norman Sidney Brew, born 30 March 1920 in Silvertown, West Ham, died 26 November 1991 in Nottingham, Co. Nottingham, aged 71; cause of death: Myocardial Infarction. He married Vera Edith Violet Bloom (born 19 May 1923) and served in the Royal Air Force, although the exact dates of service are unknown
  2. Dennis Albert Brew, born 16 November 1926 in Silvertown, West Ham, England. He married Yvonne Margaret Davies (born 25 February 1940). Both served in the Royal Air Force (Dennis No. 3032772 and Yvonne No. H2996103), and Dennis earned the Air Force Medal (AFM) whilst a Flight Sergeant in June 1958
  1. Victor George Brew, born 6 February 1897 in Woolwich, Kent, died 8 November 1937 in Plumstead, Kent, aged 40; his residence at death, according to his will, was 175 Grangehill Road, Well Hall, Eltham, London; a fuse maker, probably at the Royal Arsenal, he served as a Private in the Royal Army Service Corps in World War I. His right leg was fractured below the thigh in a shell wound on 4 October 1917 at Ypres, whilst carrying ammunition forward. It is not known if he ever married
  2. Percy Harold Brew, born 19 May 1899 in Woolwich, Kent, England, possibly served in World War I. He married Miss Bean (forename unknown) in Woolwich, Kent, England, in 1928. That had at least one child. He was:
