Born 11 October 1872 in Carmarthen, Carmarthenshire, Wales, he married Louisa Hooton (born ca. 1878 in Wiltshire, England) in Swindon, Wiltshire, England on 26 December 1898, and died in Harlesden, England on 02 October 1926. They had one son, Frederick Thomas Brew, who was born in Willesden, England, in 1901.
